You Are One Of A Kind - Ribbon Girl DT card

Happy Sunday Everyone!

It's last Sunday of the month and The Ribbon Girl is hosting a new
Magnolia Only challenge.  The theme is One For The Boys.

For my DT card, I used Lucky Edwin from the Once Upon A Time Collection.
The LO is from CLP Sketch #62.

Since this card is for a boy/man, I decided not to use any flower.
But I still couldn't resist using some lace and ribbons.
It is hard but I think I managed to pull it off.

I have colored Edwin with TH Distress Ink pads.

The following embellishments are available at The Ribbon Girl Shop:
25mm Hermione ivory cluny lace, white Tiny Ric Rac ribbon,
black Jute mesh ribbon, 70mm natural Hessian ribbon,
black button twine, natural button twine,
white Gutterman top stitching thread,
cowboy boot charm, star charm,
Fairy Wishes tiny glass bottle.

Dies: Spellbinders, Tim Holtz
Punches: Stampin'Up, Fiskars
Designer Paper: Maja Design

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Hope you join in the challenge at The Ribbon Girl.

Daisy Faerie Marci

Good morning everyone!
Hope you all have a good week so far.

It's Inspirational Friday at La La Land Crafts.
The designer team has more Fairytale creations to inspire you.

I created a trinket box using Daisy Faerie Marci.

The trinket box measures 4"W x 4"L x 1"H.
It is super easy to assemble the LLLC Trinket Box Kit.

I made a little easel card for the top of the box and this is how it
looks like when the card is propped up.

I have colored Marci with Distress Ink pads.
The heart shaped wreath is die cut with a Memory box die.
Designer papers are Maja Design and Magnolia.

The following embellishments are available at The Ribbon Girl Shop:
50mm Emily tulle lace, 8mm Rebecca cluny lace,
16mm white pearl and lace trim, WOC pale pink lily flower.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend.

Katie

Bat Girl Marci - New LLLC Halloween Release

Good morning everyone!

La La Land Crafts has a brand new Halloween release this week.
The Design Team has been busy creating many awesome projects to
showcase these fabulous stamps, dies, and chipboard set.

I have the honor to guest design and make 2 projects for this new release.

For my first LLLC Halloween creation, I made a top hat treat box/lantern
using Bat Girl Marci stamp image.

I came up with the idea of making a treat box/lantern when I was
coloring Bat Girl Marci who wears a little top hat.

I made the top hat from scratch. I will provide a tutorial in future post
with measurements for the box, so stay tuned :^).

The box has a opening with a magnetic closure at the top to put
treats or a battery operated tea light.

I used the negatives of the Halloween Frames and Shapes Set to trace
and then cut out the haunted house and bats on designer paper.
I adhered vellum paper to the back of cut out portion
for the tea light to shine though.

Bat Girl Marci is colored with Distress Ink pads.

I decorated the top hat with the following new items, now available at LLLC Store:
Bat Girl Marci stamp, Pumpkin and Jack-o-Lantern Die Set,
Spiderweb Corner Die, Spiderweb Border Die,
and Halloween Frames and Shapes Set.

I will showcase my second 2013 LLLC Halloween creation tomorrow,
so make sure you drop by again or visit La la Land Crafts Blog
for more fabulous DT creations.

See you soon!

Hugs,
Katie

GDT at ABC Challenge - V for Very Cute

Happy Sunday Everyone!

I have a guest DT card for ABC Challenge to share with you today.
The challenge theme for the next 2 weeks is V for Very Cute
sponsored by Stamp and Create.

I have made this card for a web crafting friend who recently moved.

I used 2 Magnolia stamps for this scene card:
On the Road Tilda from Sea Breeze Collection and
Vintage Swedish Background from Special Moment Collection.

I have colored the images with Distress Ink pads as usual.
I added liquid pearls here and there and some sparkles on the blue roses.
I also top stitched and distressed all paper edges, and embossed the
DPs with TH honey comb and wood grain embossing folders.

I used the September sketch from CLP.
I rotated the sketch 90 degrees counter clockwise.

I challenged myself to create a shape card using this LO.
It was a little tricky but I managed at the end.

Designer paper: Maja Design Sofiero Collection
Dies: Magnolia, Memory Box, and Go Kreate
Sentiment: LOTV and Stampin'Up

The following embellishments are available at The Ribbon Girl Store:
Vintage pink fluted edge sheer ribbon, 25mm Daphne white clunny lace,
8mm Rebecca clunny lace, rose petal pink seam binding ribbon,
WOC 10mm dusky blue open rose, 10mm ivory open rose,
white Lily flower, white top stitch thread,
20mm pale pink open rose, nickle color memo pin.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great week.

Bright Birthday at La La Land Crafts

Happy Friday Everyone!

It's Inspiration Friday at La La Land Crafts.
This week's theme is Bright Birthday.

After month and a half guest designing at LLLC,
I finally got a hang of coloring Marci and am having fun doing it.
The images are larger than most stamp images, and have lots of details;
to me it's a great challenge to get the best coloring workout.

For my GDT card, I made a fan card using Kimono Marci with Fan
I have made a few fan cards last year, you can find my tutorial here.
It's not difficult to make, just requires some measurements.

I water colored the head and hand with Distress Ink pads.
I paper-pieced the kimono and fan with Origami paper from my stash.

I made a little pocket in the back of the card which holds a little tag.
I stamped a LOTV Happy Birthday sentiment on cardstock
and punch out with a Martha Stewart butterfly punch.

Here is the inside of the fan.

Designer paper: Bo Bunny and Basic Grey
Dies: Spellbinders, Memory Box, and Magnolia DooHickey

Thanks so much for stopping by, hope you enjoy this visit.

Before you go, hop over to LLLC to see more fabulous DT creations.

Tags at La La Land Crafts

TGIF Everyone!
Hope you all have a great week so far.

It's Inspiration Friday at La La Land Crafts,
the designer team members are showcasing more tags today.

For my GDT tag, I used Taiko Drum Luka.

I colored this cute Luka with Copic markers.
I am not sure if I like the result. My Copic coloring skill is getting really rusty
since I haven't touched my Copic markers for ages.

I used the LO from The Sketchy Challenge for this tag.

Dies: Memory Box
Papers: Origami papers from my stash
Other embellishments: white Ric Rac tiny ribbon, ivory button twine,
cream seam binding ribbon, all available at The Ribbon Girl Shop.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a lovely weekend.
Before you go, you may see more DT inspirations at La La Land Crafts.

Hugs,
Katie

Game On Edwin - Happy Birthday Card

Happy Sunday Friends!

Wow, where did August go, it's September 1st already.
We have had the most amazing summer here in Vancouver,
gorgeous weather everyday. Hopefully the good weather
will carry through in September for a little longer.

Today I have a card to share with you that I made for:
GDT card for ABC Challenge ~ U for Unlimited (Anything goes),
DT card for The Ribbon Girl ~ Use numbers.

This cute image is Magnolia's Game On Edwin.
When I first saw this image, I knew right away I can use it for
my son's birthday card. My son Eric loooves Nintendo Mario
and the initial "E" on Edwin's hat can also be for Eric :^)!

I water colored the image with Distress Ink pads and made some
Nintendo game characters using die cuts and punches.
I added a few pieces of tiny Ric Rac ribbons here and there for interest.

DPs: Magnolia, Maja /design, Websters Pages.
Dies: Magnolia, Spellbinders, Memory Box, Go Kreate.
Punches: Fiskars, Stampin'Up.

The following embellishments are available at The Ribbon Girl Shop:
Cream, blue, and white tiny Ric Rac ribbon, blueberry blue Divine Baker's twine.

Thanks so much for visiting, have a lovely week!

Before you go, you can visit The Ribbon Girl and ABC Challenge
for more inspirations from the designer teams.
We would love it if you can join in the challenges.

Katie
