Tilda As Clown ~ Buttons and Bows at The Ribbon Girl

Happy Sunday Dear Bloggers!

Can't believe it's the last Sunday of April already.
It is also the Magnolia Only Challenge at The Ribbon Girl Blog.
The theme for this week is ~ Buttons and Bows.
Prizes for this challenge are a stamp from Magnolia Sweden and
a £10 voucher towards a spending spree at The Ribbon Girl.

I thought I should challenge myself to create something other then
my usual shabby style and use colors that I normally don't use.
So here are a couple of clown boot cards.

I colored the Tilda As Clown image with Distress Ink pads.

I wanted to make a clown boot shaped card that goes with the image.
Failing to find a cut-file on the web, I decided to make my own template.

It took me a while to assemble the first boot.
Once I got it going, it took no time to make the second one.

The boot with 2 removable tags on top measures approximately
5.5" (W) x 5.5" (H).  The green boot is 1/4" shorter.

I ran out of top stitching thread so I did faux stitching this time.
It actually turned out better as it is less bulky for gluing.
I also used the white gel pen to draw the eyelets.

Easter Dress

Hi Everyone!
Easter is just around the corner. Are you ready for the egg hunt :^) ?
Whatever you fancy, I wish you all a lovely Easter weekend.

It has been a while since I colored a Saturated Canary image.
I decided to make another egg-shaped shadow box card using Easter Dress digi

I printed the digi on 90lb water color paper and colored it with DI pads.
I fussy cut out the image and used it on this 3D scene card.

We have had an early and mild spring here in Vancouver. Crocuses and daffodils

Speaking of spring, there is a new card challenge at

As usual, I colored the image with Distress Ink pads.
I frantaged shabby white around the image and dusted
some glitters on the fairy wings and flowers.
