Wedding Tilda ~ Use A Die Cut At The Ribbon Girl

Happy Sunday Everyone!

It is time for an new Magnolia Only challenge at The Ribbon Girl blog.
The theme this week is ~ Use a die cut.

My DT contribution is a wedding bookcard.
A young co-worker of mine who is getting married today.
She has chosen orange, grey and white as her wedding theme colors.
I made it for her with these colors in mind in shabby chic style.

The image I used is Wedding Tilda.
As usual, I water colored the image with Distress Inks.
I frantaged around the image and dusted some glitters on Tilda.

Here's the inside.

And the back of the card.

Designer paper: Pion Design Spring of Fairytale collection, and SU.
Dies: Spellbinders, Go Kreate, Magnolia, Memory Box, Tim Holtz.

Explore your imagination

Hello everyone, welcome to my blog!

I managed to get a tag made in time for the Tim Holtz

Here's my interpretation of Tim's challenge.

DSC00308 3.37.51 PM

I have followed Tim's instruction (here) and created my monoprinting
background using the Eyechart stencil.

I incorporated the TH Eye Stamper image and stenciled some
embossing paste in the corners for added texture and interest.
Few TH remnant rubs were adhered here and there to
further expand my interpretation.

Butterfly and moth stamp images from the TH Papillon stamps
were watercolored with Distress Inks and cut out for embellishments.
Other embellishments include metal gears from my stash
and a piece of TH Chevron Frameworks die cut.

Lastly, I distressed the seam binding ribbon for the final touch.

I had fun making this tag and enjoyed playing with the inks
and water, and see the colors come to life.
At the end, it is worthwhile to get my fingers all inky :^).

Hope you like my interpretation of Tim's June tag and
thanks so much for stopping by.

Hugs,
Katie

Best Dad

Happy Sunday Everyone!

I'd like to wish all the dads a Happy Father's Day!
I absolutely love all these special days celebrating people we love.
Too bad there isn't any day for husband, wife, and so on :^)

I made a couple of cards for my dad and my hubby using
The image was watercolored with Distress Ink pads.

I made a patchwork background using Maja Design papers.
The square matting measures 4.5" x 4.5", and each
small square DP measures 1 3/8" x 1 3/8".
I have cut them with SU rotary scallop cutting blade.

Dies: Go Kreate, Magnolia, Memory Box, Nellie Snellen
DPs: Maja Design and retired SU

The following embellishments are available at The Ribbon Girl Shop:
Natural button twine, 25mm natural faux Hessian ribbon,
10mm denim blue/cream square check ribbon,

white top stitching thread,
sticky tape.

Wish you all a lovely day.

Beautiful You ~ Number Challenge at The Ribbon Girl

Good morning and happy June 1st!

First I would like to welcome my new followers and thank everyone
for visiting my blog. I appreciate all your lovely comments.

Today we have a new card challenge at The Ribbon Girl Blog.
The theme this week is ~ Numbers.

For my DT card, I used this digi stamp from Saturated Canary.
Her name is Sweet Oklahoma.

I have colored this image using black Prismacolor color pencil.
Apart from helping my son with his school projects every now and then,
I have not used color pencils since I was a child :-).
It was fun trying different color medium for change.
I like the result and will color a few more images using color pencils.

The following embellishments are available at The Ribbon Girl Shop:
Petaloo Darjeeling pink blossom and mini blossoms, WOC pink lily flower,
Melissa Francis petite frame assortments, 17mm Laila white cluny lace,
white teeny tiny pom pom trim, ivory button twine, umbrella charm.

The DP is retired SU paper. Dies are from Go Kreate and Memory Box.
Sentiments are SU and Tim Holtz chit chat word stickers.

You can see more beautiful DT creations at The Ribbon Girl Blog.
We would love it if you can join in the fun creating with us.
