Challenge prize thief alert!

Hello crafty friends.

Just a short post to inform you that there are scammers out there
taking credits of your win and claiming your challenge winning prizes.

A couple of weeks ago, I won a $25 gift card from a challenge blog I love.
I contacted the store that hosted the challenge to claim my prize but did not hear back.
I resent the email in the following week and found out someone
has already claimed the prize and used the gift card.

This person created a gmail acount with my fist name and blog name
and requested the store to issue an Amazon giftcard instead of a store gift card.
The store owner explained a store account is required to use the gift code.
This scammer then created a store account and used the gift card.

Honestly, I couldn't care less about the $25 gift card I originally won.
What bothers me is someone has taken the credit of my work
and scammed the challenge blog and sponsor.

These thieves not only stealing prizes they don't deserve but
the worst of all is they impersonate you and destroy your reputation in the craftland.

Thanks for listening and thanks for your support.

Hugs,
Katie

Ellie Girl Elephant

Hello Crafters, hope you day is bright and crafty!

I have a knitted creature to share with you today, a knitted elephant named Ellie.
I have made it last fall and donated to our annual
Christmas bake sale at work as a raffle prize.

Ellie was made with Cascade 220 and Cascade 220 Sport weight yarn, 100% wool.
The pattern can be purchased at Little Cotton Rabbits, here.

The head, ears, body, arms, legs/shoes were knitted separately.
They are then stuffed with fiberfill and sewn together.

The sweater dress is detachable. I love the little chubby Mary-Jane shoes.
The shoes are a little fiddly to make but they are just too darn cute.

My co-worker who won this creature is expecting a baby soon.
If she has a baby boy, I will make a matching elephant boy for her!

I enjoyed knitting Ellie.
I hope this post gives you some knitting inspiration.
Whatever you do, happy crafting!

Hugs,
Katie

MB-February16

The stamp image is Anniversary Surprise from LOTV, one of my favorites.
It was colored with Distress Ink pads as usual.

Cutting Die ~ Memory Box

Designer Paper ~ Maja Design Sofiero, Coffee in The Arbour,
and Vintage Summer Collection

Flowers, lace, twine, ribbon, s/a pearls are from The Ribbon Girl.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Egg Coloring Emma ~ GDT at Paper Nest Dolls

Good morning Everyone!

Here to share a February New Release from Paper Nest Dolls.
I am doing a spot guest design and made a criss-cross
card using this cute new Egg Coloring Emma.
You can find her and the other 2016 Easter collection here.

I have colored the stamp image with Distress Ink pads.
Just love the spring colors, so yummy and refreshing!

Designer Paper ~ Maja Design Sofiero and Coffee in The Arbour collection.
Dies and Punch ~ Joy Craft, La La Land, Magnolia, Spellbinders, SU, Tim Holtz.
Lace, s/a perals, dew drops and flowers are available at The Ribbon Girl.

This criss-cross card measures approximately 5.5"(W)x 6"(H).
There is a circular tag tucked in the pocket behind the main image.
I also added a Tim Holtz easel diecut in the back of the card
so the card can stand upright for display.

Hope this inspire you to create an Easter card.
You can see more Paper Nest Dolls DT creations
using the new February releases here.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Have a lovely day!!!

Hugs,
Katie

Peter Rabbit ~ My First Knitted Animal

Hello Bloggers!
Hope you are all doing well!

No card today, just popping in to share my first knitted animal.
I have made this a while back for my son who has name it Peter.

I have since made a few more knitted creatures and I will share them
with you from time to time in between my paper crafts.

It took me over 30 hours to knit, stuff, and sew together the parts and outfit.
I enjoyed making this bunny. I think he is sweet and cuddly.
The materials I used are pure wool and cotton.
Peter measures about 10.5" tall.

The pattern can be purchased at Little Cotton Rabbits.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Hugs,
Katie
